There is a warm setting, the tables are well laid out around the fireplace or on the terrace, some items from the old days are there to remind the past, and perfumes of the courses concocted according to the season are floating. The atmosphere is so pleasant..
We are opened for lunch and dinner and you will better book your table as the cooking has such a reputation.
For example on Friday night, we are serving the Garbure in the tureen (traditional soup with cabbage and bacon) and if you forgot to order it, you will have to do it next time..
We have some meats specialities from the region . . So you will taste the free-range veal and beef, the sheep and its A.O.C. label (regional quality control label) Bares Gavarnie , the fario trout of the Pyrenees, the free-range pork and also the fatty duck and the black pork of Bigorre.
Sheep grillings from the region, veal slab with morel sauce, duck steak with pepper sauce, rib roast with ceps will be a real pleasure for the epicures.
If you wish to, you can take a squab with cabbage and foie gras, duck breast candied ginger with rhododendron honey, unless you prefer a plate of fried duck foie gras with fruits in season or a delicious home-made black pudding (blood sausage) with apples !
